We spend a lot of time designing every Dark Matter fishing rod. Each one goes through several prototypes so that everything is right. The action has to be perfect and the looks as well. We try to create rods that you are going to love. It's not supposed to be just another fishing rod. It's a Dark Matter rod. That might sound corny but we really want to make the best possible fishing rods at a reasonable price.

When you are shopping fishing rods you've probably noticed that most manufacturers make a lot of models in a series. I have seen up to thirty different rods in the same series! To us that is crazy. We don't want to be everything to everyone. We want to build fishing rods with a specific fishing style in mind that covers a wide group of anglers. Our Psychedelic rods are a great example of this. Two conventional rods in eight colors. There is no ML, M, MH, H, XH, etc. Just an X and Z. Two models that cover a wide variety of fishing..and you can get them in eight colors.
